Writer-Educator to facilitate Bilingual Creative Cluster intended for Women and Gender Minorities beginning Jan 26 Monday Nights @ SBCAW

12-Week Group Support Sessions to support working through creativity, pushing through the feeling of being "stuck" with Julia Cameron's The Artist Way: A Spiritual Path to Creativity as our guide

Writer, artist and owner of Lumina Nostri Sarah Emma Ruth will be facilitating a Bilingual Creative Cluster for Women and Gender Minorities, beginning Monday, January 26 from 5:30-7:30pm at SBCAW in the Community Room.

Organizer and facilitator, Sarah Emma Ruth says of the work “ In each of the sessions we will explore that from creating habits, such as 10 minutes of writing each morning, from the work we complete as we make our way through Julia Cameron’s Artist Way.”

The sessions are intended to be bilingual. Whether monolingual, Spanish dominant, English dominant, or perhaps fluent in languages beyond those two, everyone is invited.

Sarah adds “It’s my experience that with kindness, patience, and generosity of spirit our learning experiences are strengthened by varied perspectives.”

The course is open to visual artists, musicians, writers, crafters, and those wanting to explore creative passions, but unsure where to start. All experience-levels welcome. Participants are encouraged to check out the Artist Way from the SBPL, find it at their favorite local book store, or check it out as audio.

Drop in session (single class) for $49 (Student/Educator Rate available),  20% discount for 12 session commitment. Request more information/pledge participation style here. Reserve a spot here.

Sarah Emma Ruth graduated from SDSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Languages with minors in English and American Indian Studies. She also holds teaching credentials for Languages Other Than English in Spanish and Latin, and has taught both subjects as well as English Language Development in Santa Barbara schools for the last twelve years. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, she has been actively pursuing The Artist Way since the winter of 2024, and is eager to enter in this next phase of her journey as a congruent leader– doing her work right alongside attendees.
