Careful, Out There

 Careful, Out There

~

If you sit outside too long

you start to see what

you’d not have noticed

~

little wildflowers

the waggle of the bees

~

remnants of spiderwebs

floating through the air

~

the sign each leaf makes

as she falls

~

Yes, if you sit outside too long

you begin to notice this and more

~

and soon on every rock are lyrics

to the world’s oldest song.
